How many rooms are in the hotel?

The hotel is comprised of 100 guest rooms and suites. Most guest rooms include a balcony or patio, and suites include a kitchenette and sofa sleeper.

What’s the difference between Project Awaysis and King’s Pointe Waterpark Resort?

Many people in Iowa are familiar with the name Project AWAYSIS, thanks in large part to the $9 million funding boost Storm Lake received through Vision Iowa funding. Project AWAYSIS is the name used to describe a number of developments underway by the City of Storm Lake, all focused on making Storm Lake a tourist destination.

The name AWAYSIS was coined several years ago to encompass the dual themes of “getting away” and “oasis.” As these projects are completed, the individual components will emerge with their own individual names and/or brands. King’s Pointe Waterpark Resort includes the hotel and indoor/outdoor waterparks. The restaurant within King’s Pointe is named the Regatta Grille. The AWAYSIS Ballroom, also within the resort, is named as such to honor the years of planning and collaborative development it took to make the Project AWAYSIS dream a reality.
